    Requirements

    File quality: Minimum 300 PPI and 2500 px on the shortest side.
    File format: PDF (recommended), TIFF, PSD, PNG or JPG.
    Size: Maximum 2gb.
    Color profile: Adobe RGB (1998) [16 bit] (recommended).

    If the quality/size of your image file is not large enough for printing it will be disapproved or not be printed in all desired poster sizes chosen.

    ⓘ Pay attention to

    If your print file contains margins they should not be too small as the frame would cover to much and the framing would be difficult when aligning the poster perfectly. If your margins are too small we might enlarge them upon printing. Read more about margin sizes here.

    Crop your print file in correct height/width ratio (aspect ratio)

    Make sure your print file has an aspect ratio suitable for common poster sizes. If not; please crop you print file to make sure the height and width ratio (aspect ratio) is correct.

    The aspect ratio is the height divided with the width of your print file. This needs to be the same ratio as the most common sizes for posters.

    Example: An A3 poster has a size of 42 cm. (height) and 29,7 cm. (width). The aspect ratio is therefore "42 / 29,7 = 1.41" or 1:1.41 as it is also called. Any print file with the same aspect ratio (1:1.41) can be printet as an A3 poster.
    To print an A3-size poster, your print file does NOT need to have the exact same height and width as an A3 poster (42 cm. heigh and 29,7 cm. wide). It just needs to have the same aspect ratio of 1:1.41 (the realation between height and width). The print file could be 84 cm. heigh and 59,4 cm. wide or 7016 px. heigh and 4961 px wide but would still have the same aspect ratio as an A3 poster - which is great! And please do not downsize the files to meet the exact same size as eg. A3 if your original height and width of the file is larger. We would like the best quality possible.

    The aspect ratio of your print file is calculated by dividing the height with the width. Read more about aspect ratio here.

    📢 We recommend to use aspect ratio: 1:1.41. This aspect ratio allows your poster to be printed in both A5, A4, A3, A2 and A1 sizes which is the 5 best selling sizes.

    The aspect ratio determines the sizes you can print. If the aspect ratio is not quite accurate we might change the width or height of the print file a little bit to make it exact.

    Paper type

    We use Hahnemühle Studio Enhanced Matte Art Paper 210 g/m2. It is a high quality paper for artworks that reproduce colors beautifully, does not shine (gloss) and lasts for a very long time.

    ⓘ We are fortunate that many artists like to work with us, and lots of artwork is submitted. This also means that we do not have time to contact every artist and explain why a particular artwork has not been approved. Even though we may not approve it, it can still be a beautiful piece. Art is subjective.
